The Swinton Building was constructed in 1913 as a Furniture Showroom. Most recently it was occupied by an antiques collectible store.
Beginning in March 2019 new owners commenced the renovation of the building to transform it into a mixed use development featuring street level commercial space and six rental apartments.
In February 2020 “The Common Stove” restaurant opened in the ground floor commercial space. Residential rental units 1, 2, 3 & 4 were completed and occupied on December 1st, 2020. Renovations continue on units 5 & 6 with occupancy expected February 2021.
